This Suburban 6 Gallon Water Heater features both LP Gas and Electric heating, Direct Spark Ignition (DSI), a Porcelain-Lined Steel Tank, a Copolymer Insulation Jacket, and Anode Rod Protection. The tank has a maximum holding capacity of 6 gallons, an LP Gas input rating of 12,000 BTU/hr with a recovery rate of 10.2 Gal/hr, and an electric input rating of 1440W with a recovery rate of 6 Gal/hr. Note that both the LP Gas and Electric heating options can be used simultaneously for even faster recovery. This item is brand new, in stock and ready to ship.
- This 6 Gallon Suburban model (SW6DE) is a combination LP Gas and Electric water heater with Direct Spark Ignition (DSI).
- Heated water attacks all metals, but not porcelain. That's why Suburban uses porcelain-lined, steel water heater tanks with an anode rod to "absorb" the electrolytical action.
- When a Suburban tank is properly maintained, tank life may double or triple its 3-year warranty, saving the cost of premature replacement. In addition, every Suburban tank is pressure tested twice during the manufacturing process to insure integrity.
- Fast recovery means more hot water and fewer cool water cycles. This water heater feature 12,000 BTU/h input and a recovery rate of 10.2 gallons per hour, which is the fastest in the industry.
- PLUS this combination gas/electric model also uses a 1,440-watt element to recover an additional 6.0 gallons per hour at campsites. For higher recovery, both the gas and electric element may be used simultaneously.
