This listing is for an early Missouri Stoneware Whiskey Jug with a distinctive handle and has the impressed mark of the potter, “FROM G.A. JEGGLIN”. G.A. Jegglin made these jugs in Calhoun, Missouri circa 1880’s. This is clearly an old hand thrown jug with applied handle.
It has a wonderful rich glossy colored glaze. It is beautifully hand painted though the paint has darkened over time
This classic old whiskey jug is very large Measuring about 13.5” tall x 10” diameter
