Vintage sterling silver brooch by Glen Kelso Frame, Invergyle Jewellery Ltd,

Amethyst set into a round twist silver design, with a cross detail behind.

The stone is round faceted and has a multi prong detailed setting. 

It measures 48 x 48 mm, 1 7/8" x 1 7/8".  The stone is approx 17 mm diameter, 11/16".

Fully hallmarked for sterling silver.  Assayed in Edinburgh in 1978.

A very well made piece in very good vintage used condition.  And a very rare piece with this stone.
