This item is solid copper. When new and unfinished, it will be bright and shiny like a new penny. Over time, copper develops a patina and darken into a warm brown color. This is a natural process. It is not a defect. Regular cleaning/polishing will help the item keep its bright color. Tips for care and cleaning will be included with every purchase.Note: Connectors are copper plated.
