Star Brass 5 chime Steam whistle. Overall good condition. One of the chamber fins was cut off at some point in its life (it’s a clean job and doesn’t extend into chamber). Threads are heavily worn. It will still accept an 1-1/2” pipe nipple and get tight, but it will bury the nipple. See photos of both the fin and the threads. Otherwise a very nice example of this whistle. Commonly used by the Union Pacific and Southern Pacific railroads, but I have no specific history on this one.
