OK so everyone's wondering what this is, so I took it out and "unfolded" this and added the picture. It has those flexible wires like those pop open sun shields you put in your car window to shade the heat. There are some colored fabric inserts if what you are taking a picture of is white, so it won't get washed out in the photo. Amazing how compact this thing folds up in the carry case.
Hopefully the added photo clears up the mystery.
