NOTE : Several factors may be taken in consideration to optimize the performance of the ignition
system on your Porsche regarding the spark plug gapping , today's fuel octane and density
specs with addition of Alcohol is one of them ,in general the gaps can be adjusted between
.024" to .030",if you have a aftermarket ignition system installed such as MSD you may
increase the gap in order to obtain a larger spark.
  - A few technical notes :

       - REV-LIMITING ROTOR: The early Porsches  911 utilizing a mechanical device incorporated
on the distributor rotor which function as a rev limiter , the calibrated   sliding   device
installed on the center top section of the rotor is held in position by a spring action , as the
RPM increases the device slides by a centrifugal force , as the engine reaches the rev limit
RPM the device touches  a metal tab on the rotor and  grounds the system causes the ignition
to misfire , the 65 to 68 911models the device is calibrated at 7100 RPM  as included on the tune
up kit, other later models such as 911T, 911E . 911S  with CDI ignition system
have different calibration set ups, we also carry kits for other applications.
