During the Spanish Civil these posters / coupons were the main vehicle for communication and cheerleading propaganda for the anti-fascist forces battling Francisco Franco. There was no effective real mass communication in the form of radio or television yet. Some of the posters are extremely graphic in their depiction of violence and war. All have a art deco feel to them. The strength of the images has weathered the passage of time well. IMHO. Some have specific slogans, cities, and regions spelled out on the front.
The posters also doubled vouchers on the reverse with perforated coupons for money, certain food and supplies for the resisting populace. It is amazing that that they have survived until today. Some are more rare than the others. But all are cool.
They will be sleeved in plastic and shipping in a stiff cardboard envelope via USPS Ground Advantage. European sales are set up to be shipped USPS International First Class as shown. Other worldwide sales will go through eBay Global Shipping and their corresponding charges -- which I do not set. Three or less purchases in the same cart will ship for the cost of one poster. Four or more in the same cart will ship for free.
FAQs:
1. Yes. I combine shipping. If this is an auction, please wait for an invoice to pay. If this is a Buy It Now listing, please put the items in one cart and pay. I will then adjust the shipping fees when I pack up the items.
2. I would like payment with 48 hours of your auction win. If for some reason you can not meet that time frame, please let me know within 48 hours and I will work with you. If you can not meet this requirement, please do not bid.
3. When I photograph a paper item, the first two photos are usually the front and back covers next to a ruler. This is how you can determine the size. Please check this before asking what size the booklet or catalog is. I also try to shoot a photo of the last numbered page in the item so you can know how many pages there are. If it appears to be a single page booklet or foldout. ---- and not a multi-page item ---- it probably is a single page booklet or foldout.
4 Carefully examine my studio-quality photographs. I do my best to document any flaws or issues. I tend to go overboard in showing flaws. I hate surprises when I buy on eBay as much as you do. I also do my best to accurately describe the items I find. The photographs are considered part of my condition report and my description.
5. I basically sell "As Is." That said, I will accept returns if I have been negligent in my listing information. This includes outright mistakes, misrepresentations, or any errors on my part. I do not know everything about everything (don't tell my kids that please). If you are not sure about something and want to "try it out" at home before having "Buyer's remorse," please do not bid. Every auction or estate sale I go to is "as is." I do better than that with my return policy. I mess up once in a while and I have honored all legitimate returns. Please respect this policy.
6. If there is a problem please contact me directly before going through the Ebay refund system. It will save a lot of time and money for both of us.
