On November 7, 1935, a single head insignia was established for the entire NKVD staff. In 1936, by order of the NKVD of the USSR, new head and sleeve insignia were introduced for RKM employees along with collar badges, which differed in size. For rank and file personnel, the badges were silver in color. This is the gold color variety for leadership staff.
