This ebay Buy-It-Now offering provides my unique custom assembled Snap On PT338 (3/8" drive) and PT350 (1/2" drive) tune up kit and trigger valve seat repair kit. This eBay listing is for tools that leak air through the exhaust and or run on without trigger operation all with the air connected. It also tunes up a tool that has lost power through Snap On mechanically engineered predictable breakage.
For the doubting Thomas mechanics who ask me, Will this kit fix my tool if it has lost power? The answer is, What are your other better options? Did you think you could beat the crap out of your impact wrench forever without doing some repairs at some point? This is the kit for that guy. This is the kit for the mechanic who takes care of their air tools and knows that preventative maintenance is wise to do. My eBay store listings are for all mechanics who want to have the right parts to keep their tools working with as little downtime as possible. Avoid a tool emergency and buy my kits BEFORE you need them. On eBay the buyer always selects the shipping service even when it is free shipping so choose wisely at the time of purchase.
Watch a youtube video to see how to take the PT335 apart or read my information pointers below. The parts you need will come from my eBay store. It's that simple. Snap On has this tool under wraps and is not releasing a full complement of spare parts. It's just little ole' me helping my fellow travelers get their tool working again.
This repair kit empowers you to make your own skilled repairs to your tool without extended downtimes waiting for the service centers to fix your tool. You will never get all of these parts on a regular Snap on tune up from their service centers. Why? Because they only fix exactly what is wrong and only the items that your tool needs when it is received by them for repairs or maintenance. My kits are designed to give you quality replacement parts to do complete field repairs on your tool or just replace what you need to get back up and running again while in the field or at your shop. The photo above shows the items I physically provide.
Disclaimer: I reserve the right to add or subtract parts whenever the OEM makes tool changes and modifies or adds or deletes items from the production of this tool.  I will maintain a standard of high quality even though there are some ebay copycats that will try to copy and undermine my efforts to make the best repair kits possible and practical. if you need help with this or any tool repair ebay allows buyers to reach me by cell through the "contact seller" link. Using colored o'rings puts me on the cutting edge in the custom kits I design. Note my information is a guide to help you figure out where the o'rings are located. Look at my avatar photo and read below for guidance. Spot the number on the Snap On print and that is where the part goes. Make your field repairs fast, simple and leakage free without paying the Snap on Service Center confiscatory prices. My kits offer more parts than a typical PT338 or PT350 gets changed when the service centers do the work.
1.....8 dark brown rotor vanes. #12 in the print. This is the most likely cause for lost power on a tool that has seen more than 1 TOTAL hour of impact hammering in the time it has been an operating tool.
2.....Upper left orange u-cup seal as #21 for the regulator which is #22.
3.....Lower left green o'ring seal as #7. This o'ring helps maintain the 3 tablespoons of red lube oil inside the hammer case cover #01 to cool the hammer frame parts.
4&5..The 2 ball bearings in the avatar are rotor support bearings. The large bearing #8 supports the front of the rotor and the small bearing #18 supports the rear of the rotor shaft.
6......6 parts across the bottom of the avatar are for your throttle or trigger valve system. These parts correct loss of trigger control when the tool operates uncontrollably by itself when connected to air.
7......Middle top avatar 2 orange o'rings are #31. These go onto the #34 throttle valve body of the tool when you are doing throttle valve repair work.
8......Middle, middle of the avatar are the front anvil oil seal (1 part of 3 as #01) and the air motor rotor shaft seal ( 1 part of 3 as #08). When changing the #08 air motor oil shaft seal note that the factory places this oil seal in a "backwards" installation from what Snap On normally does on all of their other air tools. Do the same method of installation for seal replacement.
9......Middle lower of the avatar wis a 1/2" ring kit with pink o'ring. Next to it is the 3/8" anvil ring kit.
10....The red o'ring as part #43 is next to the anvil ring kits and fits onto the bottom of the diverter as #40 in the print.
Taking the reverse valve out is done with great patience. Being buzzed or high when doing this will likely break fragile parts that are not sold by Snap On outside their service centers. There is a white plastic insert in the tool housing identified as #35 on the print. Slide it out with tweezers or fingers if you can avoid bending or binding it. Pull it straight out. Pull out your cell phone and shoot some pics of the setup before you go further. This will help your recall during reassembly. Next, using a 1/8" wide flat blade screwdriver gently pry out the #39 and #41 buttons from #37 as the coupler button. The ends of these buttons can crystallize and become hard over time so prying gently with some lube is essential. Pay attention to the diverter link as #36 noting how it makes everything articulate off of it in by design. Once you have #40 exposed without anything attached to it the #40 diverter can be gently lifted up. This is where the red o'ring as #43 goes. Repeat procedure till the buttons require reinstallation. See next below.
11.....Right of center on top in the avatar are 2 yellow o'rings. These 2 o'rings fit onto #41 and #39 forward and reverse buttons. The o'rings install easily with snap ring pliers that can spread and control these small rubber parts to make them slide onto the button shafts. Be careful not to break the button ends which fit into the #37 coupler. Now gently push the buttons back into the housing with some oil or light o'ring lube/grease.
12.....Right side middle of avatar are 4 black o'rings as #24 on the Snap On print. These are sealing o'rings that may also act as washers for the #25 screw heads. You can reuse these o'rings one time extra if you have to take the tool apart. Just remember that they are thin enough to break under any stress or bind.
13.....The last o'ring in the avatar photo is item #16 as the small black o'ring part #14349. On the brand new Snap On PT338 tool I bought for this project this o'ring was missing from the tool. There is a small recess where this o'ring fits on the #18 rear end plate. Place some grease on it to hold it into position.
