Instructions: The probe is shipped partially assembled to avoid creasing the cable. To assemble, use a phillips head screwdriver to open the base (part that inserts into the scope). Using your fingernail or a tool (plastic preferably) open the latch. It opens longitudinally away from the connector. Insert the flat flex cable with the blue tab facing up away from the PCB. It is possible to insert the cable incorrectly. Make sure that you feel it slot in. If the cable is crooked or not pushed all the way in the probe will not work. Close the latch while holding the cable in place. Tug gently to make sure the cable is retained. Reassemble the base and attach the cable to the pod in the same way with the blue tab facing away from the PCB.
Notes: The probe acts as an approximate 1/10 voltage divider to fit the scopes input comparator operating range. Suggested maximum frequency is 50 MHz. I have measured the probe with a P6205 and a VNA. An example waveform is shown in the listing photos. The output voltage is slightly below 10%. Likely due to probe loading and measurement inaccuracy. This probe can be used over the full +-10V operating range supported by the scope.
