This is a cutout template tool ONLY. Any grip or other accessory pictured is for demonstration purposes only and is NOT included.
This part will allow you to notch your existing non-manual safety grip so that you can install a manual safety FCU into the grip. This will work on ANY P320 GRIP MODULE including SubCompact, Compact, X-Compact, Carry, X-Carry, Fullsize, and X-Fullsize. This is particularly useful for specific grips that never had a factory manual safety variant.
To use:
1. Lower the tool into the rear of the grip module at about a 20 degree angle and slide the guide into the recess of the grip that your FCU fits into. This keeps the tool from moving up or down.
2. Gently push down on the forward part of the tool until the guide on the underside rests in the slide release channel. The tool should now be installed and free of movement.
3. Using a file or other cutting tool and carefully remove the material following the channel. This tool is plastic like the grip so work slowly so that you don't over-cut past the tool. This will not impact the functionality of the gun and the safety lever will hide the edges as long as you don't go excessively past the guide path of the tool.
4. Use a small hand file to remove any burs or sharp/rough edges.
5. Install your manual safety FCU into the grip module and check for functionality.
