I own an advertising specialty company - now in our 46th year I am happy to report - and worked in the industry for many years prior to establishing my own firm.  

Over the years I collected many over-run samples, one-or-a-kind spec samples and the like.

I am now selling much of that collection via eBay.  Among our suppliers of better quality writing instruments was and still is the Sheaffer Pen Company.   Here is a very nice somewhat vintage desk set set from them.   I believe it to be the J07 Model 70  from their prestigious "White Dot" collection.   This was manufactured in the 1970's - 1908's, and I think this example is from the later '80's.

The size is 5" x 3.5", with the Sheaffer "White dot" ballpoint pen.   I wanted to keep it intact, and the original refill is in the instrument.  If used rather than displayed, a replacement refill is needed - which are readily available.   The flexible staff holder is in gold, and an engravable brass plate included.

The desk set is quite substantial, weighing slightly over one pound.

This handsome desk set is still in it's original Sheaffer deluxe gift box.   The box is a bit shopworn as shown in my photos, but serviceable.   The gift box size is 10" x 8.5" x 2".

Although approximately 40 years old, it is in as new condition - other than the minor gift box issue.       As mentioned, it has never been used!     Of course, it was manufactured in the U.S.A. - Ft. Madison, Iowa.
