This SAS cable is an external SAS cable with SFF-8644 to SFF-8644 connectors. This cable is 50cm long. It is used to connect external port SAS controllers to SAS expanders or enclosures with SFF-8644 ports. This is a very short cable for this application, so it is useful for connecting adjacent chassis, either host to enclosure, or enclosure to enclosure. It supports 12Gbps (SAS-3), 6Gbps (SAS-2), and 3Gbps (SAS-1) protocols speeds.
