This will allow you to keep your manuals and adapters secure behind the lid with the original parts designed for this purpose.

Up for bid today is a set of original clip and handle parts that fit into the lid of the Sencore CR7000 CRT Tester to lock the lid in position in new condition. I am selling these sets as my CR7000 retaining clip broke and the lid kept falling down onto the control panel of the CR7000 when I moved the unit around. Sure, you can tape it up or come up some other kind of fix for this, but why not just replace the parts originally used for this purpose? I ordered a few sets to get volume discount pricing. So hopefully some other folks with these CR7000 CRT Testers can benefit from this and get a retainer clip and handle to replace the missing or broken originals. Even if yours still works fine, the plastic ages and will break sooner or later since many of these units are over 20 years old. Check out the pictures and please let me know if you have any questions before you bid. This is from a non-smoking environment. You will receive everything pictured (one retainer clip and one handle - Sencore CR7000 is NOT included). To replace, open the lid and remove the original retainer clip and handle (if it is still there) and then gently press in the new retainer clip into the hole in the lid fully. Then, close the lid and insert the handle into the retainer clip hole until it full seats. This will lock the lid in the closed position. Now you can simply pull the handle and it will come out slightly and unlock the retainer clip so that the lid will now open to allow access to the Adapters and Manuals. To close and secure the lid, be sure the handle is pulled out and then close the lid fully so the retainer clip goes into the hole in the top portion of the case. Then press the handle in until it snaps into the locked position. Now the lid should be in the locked and closed position.
