This innovative membrane offers essential functions such as uncoupling, waterproofing, vapor management, and load support, ensuring durable and long-lasting tile installations. It is compatible with a variety of substrates, including engineered wood, vinyl, wood plastic composite (WPC), luxury vinyl tiles (LVT), luxury vinyl planks (LVP), stone plastic composite (SPC) tiles and planks, and laminate flooring, making it ideal for both residential and commercial projects. With a nominal thickness of 1/4" (5.5 mm), the membrane minimizes transitions between flooring heights, and its studded structure allows for the easy integration of DITRA-HEAT-E-HK heating cables. For applications requiring compliance with ANSI A118.10 waterproofing standards, the DITRA-HEAT-PS membrane can be paired with the Schluter®-KERDI membrane to achieve the necessary certification. The minimum tile format for this membrane is 2" x 2" (5 cm x 5 cm), ensuring stability and proper load distribution.
Each sheet measures 3' 2-5/8" x 2' 7-3/8", providing 8.4 Square Feet of coverage, suitable for various room sizes and layouts. To ensure optimal adhesion, all substrates must be clean, even, and load-bearing before application, with any bond-inhibiting residues removed. This peel-and-stick solution is perfect for creating customizable, comfortable electric radiant heating systems while maintaining the reliability and functionality associated with Schluter Systems. It is strongly recommended to overlap all heat membrane joint lines created during installation with the Kerdi Polyethylene waterproof band or waterproofing tape to ensure optimal performance.
