The Russian Olive is a rare type of wood, with striking natural colors and grain patterns. They are excellent for cutting boards, river tables, shelves, and signs of all sorts. All of the wood pieces are dried, planed, and sanded. Each piece is unique in there own way, featuring the natural edges of the tree, leaving the wavy sides, and very often burls on the edges. The pictures are just an example of what you will receive, as each piece is totally unique in there own way, truly a one of a kind feature. I've wet the wood down in the pictures to show off the true colors of the wood. The width of the piece that you select will be an average of the whole piece for live edge pieces. If you would like another size option that is not posted, or have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out.

There is a special deal on the live edge pieces if you don't mind cracked wood which can be used for certain projects, and may actually enhance the projects you are making. You will get 4 Pieces instead of 1 Piece. They are also 50% off for cracked pieces. These cracks wont ruin the strength of the wood, they are still strong pieces! Great for River Tables.

There are a few different options of Widths, Thickness, and Edge type. If you select the option with both live edges it will be the traditional live edge board with two sides live edge. If you select the one edge option then you will only get one side with the natural edge, and the other side squared, used mostly for shelves that need a flat back side. The thickness of these boards will all be right around 1" Thick, unless you choose an option that says otherwise.

I'm so glad you found this wood, it is truly something that needs to be tried out. It is great for arts and crafts. Most of the Russian Olive slabs contain the golden outside edge, but a very few of them don't. You can take the bark off and sand the whole face of the live edge down to the yellow too.

If you would like to make a bulk order of 3 or more pieces, reach out to me and I will make you a deal. Also, If you would like me to clean the bark off, I can do that for an additional charge, just send me a message.
