Basic Rotary Broach Tool Holder - Part # BT-075-B
This
3/4" shank diameter basic tool holder is designed for low volume and
prototype broaching projects.
The
sealed bearing requires no greasing.
The
holder can be used for making internal hex, square and other polygon shape
holes in your lathe, mill or other turning machine and eliminates secondary
operations.
Ideal
materials for broaching are aluminum, brass and mild steel.

Instructions:
•Drill
pilot hole 3% larger diameter than flat-to-flat dimension and depth 1.5x the
flat-to-flat dimension.
•Drill
chamfer .005" per side larger than sharp corner dimension.
•Feed
broach into the hole up to 1x the flat-to-flat diameter with a starting rate of
.002-.003 IPR and 700-800 RPM.
