Roger Perkins Sosokete Native American Traditional Mohawk Hanging Pot Vessel. Recently acquired from the 2nd auction session of the Outstanding Lifetime Artifacts Collection of Dr. Constantine Zariphes, Jr. of Rocky Hill, Connecticut.
Measuring approximately 6.5” tall, 4.5” wide, this is a smaller hanging cooking pot in the traditional Mohawk style. It is made of St. Laurence river clay and grog and then pit fired. In excellent, original condition, as seen in the photos. It’s unsigned, but attributable to Roger Perkins (Sosokete), circa 1990s. Weighs about 618 grams.
