For Sale: Cold War Era Radiological Survey Meter Dosimeter in NICE Condition!
Victoreen Model CDV-700 6B, manufactured in 1962 by Victoreen Instrument Co. in Cleveland, Ohio. This is one of the last and best models of the CDV-700 series.
This unit was retrofitted in 1990, including:
- A new probe
- A new battery compartment
- Paint touch-ups in a few areas
The meter may have chips or scuffs from being stored on a shelf for over 60 years. The gauge glass may have small cracks.
THE METER IS TESTED AND WORKING! There is no corrosion in the battery compartment.
Test Results:
- Picture #2 shows the meter at x1
- Picture #3 shows the meter at x10, reading 0.2 mR/hr (correct measurement for the test source)
