Retired Early WEST Directional Highway Sign Original Heavy Metal 21” X 9” Maine

This is an original route directional (WEST) marker used on Maine highways in the 1950’s and ‘60’s. These are very thick heavy steel. Later ones were made of a much lighter gauge metal or aluminum with rounded corners. There is some original finish loss (see photos).
