The USMC fatigue cap or cover as the Marines call the cap, is a distinctive style hat so anyone call tell the wearer is a Marine.

This green Marine cap is the type worn during the Vietnam war, it has the front square panel which has the USMC eagle globe and anchor stencil printed on it. The style of the cap is often called an eight pointed hat due to the 8 points of stitching around the side.
