Note: The main nozzle is "potted" and harsh chemicals like Berriman's can detroy the carb or render air leaks causing poor operation that can't be tuned properly.
Welch plug is removed to ensure the small fuel passages are clear- many shops skip this important step and the motor will never run smoothly. See Photo
We ONLY use OEM BRP complete rebuild kits, NEVER aftermarket as the quality of Evinrude parts are far superior to even Sierra.
All needle and seats, floats and other kit parts are replaced regardless how good they appear.
All carbs we have listed will function the same, only a slight variation in patina as we do not abrasive blast/clean small carbs, since the very small metering circuits can easily be damaged.
Carb bowl interiors will be spotless and we coat the exterior with a fuel/oil resistant coating to enhance longevity.
To avoid contaminating your carb we supply new pump to carb fuel line (3/16") and BRP Fuel ties for a professional job. A new carb gasket of course.
Mixture screws are set at 1-1/4 turns out, final adjust in gear after it warms up. Usually it will turn clockwise (leaner) ~1/4 turn for smoothest idle, but all engines will be slightly different.
FYI- Factory setting for 15's are 7/8 turn out (counterclockwise from lightly seated), but will vary as mentioned.
