The BUG-A-SALT 3.0 is specifically tailored to the needs of the more serious fly hunter. This model works well in all conditions, but is ideal (optic fibers filter ambient light) for poorly lit garage or sunset bug blaster backyard safaris. Is the blaster dangerous?
- No, only if misused: Do not shoot anyone in face or eyes. Treat it with respect and always use common sense. It will not penetrate skin or damage furniture.
What kind of salt does it use?
- Morton's works great, but for an even higher impact on target, try our BUG-A-SALT High Performance Salt!
Will the salt splatter the bug?
- Instead of leaving flies whole for easy cleanup, we are warning folks it may splatter them.
How much salt does the blaster shoot?
- A pinch of salt.
What is the accuracy range of the blaster?
- Within 2-3 feet is ideal. Practice accuracy by shooting aluminum foil to see salt spray pattern.
How many shots before I need to reload?
- The BUG-A-SALT 3.0 model will hold about 80 shots before reloading.
Can it kill more than flies?
- The BUG-A-SALT 3.0 is most effective within a 2-3 foot range for flying insects such as flies or mosquitoes since it clips their wings. For larger insects, we recommend a headshot at close range.
