For Sale or We will Rebuild Yours!! Save hundreds of dollars over new OEM gearboxes and get our Tougher "Muscle Gearboxes!! We make it so easy for the producer to use our rebuilt units in many ways. First and foremost, one must realize that the main cause of gearbox failure is the cheap imported Chinese oil seals used on the Chinese built OEM gearboxes. The seals fail quickly, and the lubricant starts leaking out and ultimately the input shaft bearings fail as they don't run very long without lubricant. The solution to this is to use the cartridge type seals we use when we rebuild on both the output and input shafts as they are not exposed to the elements of moisture & grit that cause failures. The softer imported Chinese bearings are also no match for the Timken bearings that are a higher quality steel. We build those shafts back up and then machine them down to the correct OEM size allowing the seals to fit tight on a smooth surface thereby eliminating the leaks and allowing the lubricant to remain in the gearbox as it should over time. Center Drives get the same treatment. We can't use the cartridge seals on the Valmont & Reinke center drives as they don't make a cartridge seal that will fit on those. We do use the cartridge seal on the output shafts on the Zimmatic chain center drives. All of the double lip seals we use on center drives are doubled (2 seals used at each location) thus providing 4 individual sealing lips at each location. We also clean and bench test each motor stator on the center drives to make sure it's good. We sell pre-owned, bench tested motor stators based on availability at approximately 1/2 price of a new comparable stator and we also have new Durst & Lindsay stators available as well. All gearboxes are disassembled all the way down, all components (shafts, housings, gears, end caps, etc) are inspected, sandblasted and are run through the parts washer for cleaning before being reassembled. The serial number is noted for warranty purposes and recorded. They are then tested for smooth function and then filled with lubricant. They set for 2-3 days to determine if they have any lubricant leaks. Then they are primed with Ruddy Brown primer and then painted with our D
ark Green paint. When we assemble the wheel drives, we use all Grade 8 bolts and there are also grade 8 mounting bolts with lock washers added to the back of each gearbox. We include 8 lug nuts, one on each lug bolt to protect the threads from getting damaged and for mounting the wheel on the gearbox when installed. All gearboxes are filled with lubricant and are ready to be installed when they leave our shop. We will rebuild your gearboxes or do an exchange, same price either way. We pickup & deliver free within 100 miles of Amarillo if the gearbox quantity is 5 or more. We are on the road especially to the East of Amarillo quite often and will pick up or deliver smaller quantities at no charge when were in the area. We ship nationwide incoming and outgoing using Central Motor Freight with whom we have a discounted rate.
