A striking rare extra large hybrid Philodendron Nangaritense x Werneri is a rare hybrid plant created by crossing the species Philodendron Nangaritense and Philodendron Werneri. 


Key characteristics:


  • Appearance: This hybrid boasts large, closely ribbed heart-shaped leaves with a distinct bluish tint,  silvery metallic undersides, red margins and prominent veins often accompanied by unique and intricate patterns or spots.

  • Petioles: The petioles (leaf stems) and prominent underside veins typically exhibit a striking textured reddish purple  color.

  • Emergent coloration: New leaves often emerge with a vibrant orange or pink hue mixed with copper and bronze.

  • Growth habit: It is a climber benefiting from a support structure to help it grow upwards.

  • Uniqueness: This hybrid is considered rare and one of a kind due to its distinctive color combination and foliage characteristics that changes as the plant matures.

She is a good size, very well established one that had  just unfurled a new large  leaf with another one on the way.  Her leaves are thick, slightly velvety, random spotting with very pronounced close ribbing with multiple nodes  and   aerial roots. She stands at 41" tall by 18"  wide.The  largest leaf  measures 8.25" long by 7" wide. Usually offered as a cutting with a single node, but she is so well rooted and acclimated that you don't have to stress about rooting her. You can just watch her grow larger and taller as she is also a fast grower. Place in a bright room away from direct sunlight, pot in an aroid mix and water when the top inch or 2 of soil feels dry.
