One of the Holy Grails in the world of ukulele collectors . Very Rare, VIntage, Highly collectible, REGAL JUNGLE UKE, ukulele with that trademark factory original, (and very cool) Leopard faux fur fabric body. Believed to be from the 1940’s but could be from the early 50’s or the 30’s. Not many were made so very few have survived this far (over 72 years old)!!! This one looks like it has had a great life and was played often.

In “As Pictured” condition. Please see photos and description. I’ll try and describe it extensively. Feel free to ask questions about it and I’ll be happy to help and even photograph from other angles. eBay allows only 12 pics on the listing and I used them all up. All photos are of the actual ukulele you will receive. CURRENTLY TRYING TO UPLOAD VIDEO to add to photo description.

This old but lovable uke has no manufacturer label but the headstock does have a heavily weathered decal that has traces of the green, Jungle Uke bamboo-like lettering and the yellow and green leopard head. See photos.

There are 12 frets set into the neck with painted black dots at the 3rd (barely visible), 5th and 7th (both are visible) frets.

Approximate Measurements:

21” long (total)

7” at widest point

Body is 9.5” long

Neck is 11.5” long and 7/8” wide at widest point

Sound hole is 2” diameter

Weight is 15.4 oz.

The ivory-colored pegs appear to be original but I’m not sure. See photos and I’ll be happy to send more close ups if you need.

The neck is joined with a large round dowel. Neck is slightly loose.

Thank you for looking.

Would make an amazing once-in-a-lifetime special gift for your Ukulele collector!
