The Rare Vintage P.D. Beckwith (Side-Winder) Parlor Stove is a unique and very rare antique that is a freestanding stove with a unique drafting design. If you look closely you will see that the bottom ash door is on the left side, the main loading doors are on the front, and the exhaust pipe is up on the right. Beckwith only made a few of these that became known as Side-Winder stoves. No one knows why he made this unique design but some say it drafts counter clockwise to take advantage of the earth’s natural spin coriolis force. This distinctive SideWinder design makes it a unique collector piece for any home. Made in the United States, this P. D. Beckwith SideWinder Round Oak Stove is a valuable addition to any collection of vintage stoves.
