The image is a vintage postcard of Reichenberg, Bohemia (now Liberec in the Czech Republic), featuring the Café Post and Synagogue.

  • The postcard dates back to before 1918.

  • The Café Post was a popular spot, but now the building is occupied by the local police department.

  • The synagogue was destroyed during Kristallnacht in November 1938.

  • Jews were expelled from some Moravian cities in 1454 and could only return in the mid-19th century.
