RARE ORIGINAL VINTAGE ARVIN ATOMIC SPACE AGE MODERN FAN HEATER COMBO 1950'S
A brilliantly designed all original vintage super Space Age Atomic Modern 1950's medium sized floor fan/heater combo manufactured by Arvin. This is amazingly well designed and styled considering it is just an appliance with incredible 1950's form and details from all angles...it almost looks cooler from the backside than the front! Manufactured super heavy duty throughout and built like a 1950's Cadillac, including its' cool Minty Green finish! Exceptional condition overall looking just barely used with the exception of some wear scratches & wear to the Mint Green metallic-like enamel finish on the housings. Original wiring electrical and heating elements have been inspected & tested and appear completely safe and functional. Blade switch on back swings to FAN @ high speed, then to HEAT @ lower speed fan with heating element (see last pics)...It gets hot fast and blows heat out a good distance, its toasty!!
Exceptional complete original condition with only light signs of wear to the painted surfaces from use. Fan runs smoothly and fairly silently once it gets up to speed, there is some residual vibration hum from the heating element structure due to its close proximity to the rotating blades. The original heavy duty insulated power cord with "ARVIN" embossed plug has been inspected and appears safe and completely functional. There is a safety shut off on the underside that will automatically turn the fan/heater off if tipped...this feature was decades ahead of its time!
