Rare H.M. Quackenbush Model 9 Air Rifle belonging to Dr. Robert D. Beeman (Of Beeman Airguns) Very good condition showing some wear, scratches, some light age patina. Nickel plated finish with right side by breech area showing scattered tiny dings. Left side of frame stamped, "H.M. QUACKENBUSH HERKIMER N.Y. U.S.A."  Walnut stock shows a tight crack approx. 2", on bottom of tang, left side of stock in front of the screw shows a tight crack approx. 1/2" inch. Stock is tight to metal and does not wiggle. Mechanically excellent, Tested, and a very good strong shooter and accurate. Push-barrel, smoothbore, tear drop loading port, these were designed to shoot .175 BB and other types of ammo, I used a pellet and it shot very well, strong and accurate. The Model 9's had a two-part serial number this one is 9-15815.  35.75" OAL, Mfg. 1920-1941 
PROVENANCE: The trigger guard has a brass tag along with a cable and signet lock.  Tag is stamped, "R.D. BEEMAN PRIVATE COLLECTION 693".  The signet lock has his initials on it, "RDB". A nice, hard to find piece belonging to a top leader in the Industry.
