Here is a set of 17 quilt blocks in the Butterfly pattern, #922 as shown in the Encyclopedia of Pieced Quilt Patterns compiled by Barbara Brackman.  Pattern is categorized as Realistic butterfly and was printed in the Kansas City Star in 1931.

Blocks are hand pieced and measure approximately 9" wide x 9 1/2" tall using vintage cottons from the 1930's to 1940's era for the wings.  The bodies are two shades of blue with muslin setting patches.  Please note, the muslin shows soiling.

Also included are 51 pre cut wing pairs, some body parts, templates and additional fabric to cut more body parts.  I do not know if there is enough fabric to create enough bodies for the 51 wing pairs.

All of the blocks are pictured, please use the zoom feature on the photos for a better look at the condition of each one.
