PUMA, GERMANY 6396 STAG BOWIE KNIFE, S/N 77473, STAG c. JULY, 1974, 10 ¾” KNIFE, 6 ½” saber and hollow ground clip blade, with pronounced false edge on the clip, 3/16” thick stock, partially finely serrated, super fine satin finish, blade marked “6396 HANDMADE ORIGINAL PUMA-BOWIE GENUINE-PUMASTER-STEEL-GERMANY.” The blade has its complete original polish, with some very fine handling or very light sharpening marks, mostly on the back. Half aluminum guard, marked "77473." Slab stag scales, over a fully exposed straight tang, fastened with three large riveted, drilled and brass sleeved for a lanyard, with slight bird’s head pommel. Folded, sewn, and brass riveted original leather sheath, some light handling marks and light discoloration, marked “PUMA” with logo, with keeper strap a little fragile, but fully intact. EX++
