TASCAM's DP-02 is the 8-track digital recorder that makes recording fun, ditching menus for simple knobs and faders. Based on over 25 years of cassette Portastudios, it sports dedicated controls for level, pan, effects send and EQ instead of the menu-cursor interface found on most other recorders. You make music with two hands with the DP-02 - just reach and twist a knob when your creativity strikes.
The DP-02 records up to 8 tracks to its built-in 40GB hard drive. A pair of CD-quality XLR mic inputs includes phantom power for condenser mics and a direct guitar input. High and low EQ controls for level and frequency are provided for every channel. It also includes a multieffects processor, stereo reverb, even a dedicated stereo channel for recording your mix. You can transfer tracks and mixes to a computer using USB 2.0, or burn a master disc in the CD drive. Also available is the DP-02CF, which records to Compact Flash media to make it easier than ever to afford a digital Portastudio.

Condition:

This beautiful deck is in "Very Good" condition with minor signs of use and a nice, bright display. Aside from the typical scratches to the base, the only thing worth mentioning is some light discoloration and a few small scratches to the top panel, some too faint to make out well in the pics. All original knobs are present and complete and there is minimal scuffing to the display plexi. The original Power Supply has gone missing so we are including the new, overrated supply we used throughout testing. The manual is not included but no worries, it is available online or we will provide the PDF file directly on request. Your deck will come packaged in the pictured generic box with custom Styrofoam packaging! Sample pics, please see below for more info.**

Service:

There were no issues found with this deck, still all faders have been treated with DeoxIT F5, specifically designed to both clean & lubricate fader controls.

Testing:

We set this system up on our test bench and it performed impressively with no issues! All switches, functions and LED indicators work correctly and all line/mic inputs and outputs have been confirmed operational. A short track was created and stored, then loaded and played back with no issues. The CD player was also tested with several discs and exhibited no skipping at all. Further testing was done, if there is a particular function you would like to know more about just let us know before buying. What a great find on a quality piece of equipment!
