You'll need an air compressor capable of supplying air pressure between 10 and 30 PSI.
It's very important that your air supply includes an air pressure regulator (to set the correct PSI) and a moisture trap/filter. Any moisture or oil in the air line will ruin the powder coat finish.
Crucially, do not use an air line that has an in-line oiler, as oil contamination is a common cause of finish problems.
I have a spare oven in my garage, but it runs on propane. Can I use a gas oven to cure the powder coated parts, or does it have to be electric? ↓
No, you absolutely must use an electric oven for curing the powder coated parts. The manual explicitly warns against using a gas or propane oven. The fumes generated during the curing process can be flammable and potentially explosive when exposed to the open flame present in a gas oven.
You need a dedicated electric oven that can reach the necessary curing temperature for your powder (usually between 300°F and 500°F / 150°C and 260°C) and ensure it's used in a well-ventilated area. Also, never use an oven that is also used for cooking food.

1. A dedicated Electric Oven: As mentioned, this is crucial for curing and must be electric, not gas, and not used for food.
2. An Air Compressor and Air Hose: With the correct pressure capabilities (10-30 PSI) and fittings (typically 1/4-inch for the hose connection), plus a regulator and moisture trap.
3. Safety Gear: This is non-negotiable. You need appropriate eye protection (safety goggles), gloves (vinyl recommended for handling parts), and particularly a respirator. A dust mask is needed during spraying, and an activated charcoal respirator is highly recommended when oven curing due to the fumes.
4. Cleaning Supplies: Things like degreaser or acetone to thoroughly clean the parts before coating. 5. Hooks or Wire: To hang your parts for spraying and curing in the oven.
