PiezoBarrel P7 Pickup and 4 meter cable with brass neck and mouthpiece adapters for alto sax
Note - only the pickup (microphone), cable and adapters with blocking screws for neck and mouthpiece installation are supplied (Type B, D and E). Mouthpieces and necks shown are only used to show how the supplied adapters may be installed.
The PiezoBarrel P7 is a professional saxophone pickup that can be used with a bass clarinet to provide high quality natural sound and to drive guitar effect units for live performance. The P7 is brighter in sound than the PiezoBarrel 'Wood' and provides a warm sax sound.
This pickup is similar to the PiezoBarrel 'Wood' (clarinet pickup) except that it provides a brighter sound with more upper partials. This pickup comes with a brass adapter for soldering onto a bass clarinet neck as well as adapters for installing in a mouthpiece if you prefer not to alter your sax neck. For neck installation, the supplied adapter is soldered onto the neck and then a small hole (2 - 2.5mm diameter) has to be drilled into the bore of the instrument neck in order to pick up the sound.
Included:-
- PiezoBarrel P7 Pickup
- 4m long 3.5mm to 6.3mm shielded cable to plug in to standard 6.3mm (1/4 inch) line or instrument socket.
- Small Phillips screwdriver to adjust output level (sometimes needed for wireless mic systems which need a very small signal).
- Blocking screws with O rings
- Spare Brass threaded adapters supplied to attach pickup to sax neck or on a mouthpiece (parts for both options are supplied).
- Manual is available from PiezoBarrel as a PDF file but eBay messages and emails do not allow file attachments.
Features:-

- Compatible with a variety of instruments including other brass and wind instruments.
- Provides high output
- High signal to noise ratio
