From the set " Chicago Exhibition " which focused on the Worlds Columbian Exposition held in Chicago in 1893.  The set the slide is from was produced by James Valentine in 1893 / 1894. Valentines images are of an excellent standard.

THE SLIDE IS APPROXIMATELY 8.2CM X 8.2CM OR IN INCHES 3.23" X 3.23"

The slide consists of two glass plates, on that the image is applied to and a second to protect the image. The slide normally has a inner paper border and then the slide is then held together with edging paper.

Please be aware that as the slide can be photographed both sides so the image in photo 1 may be reversed in error
