General Condition: Very Good condition Parker Duofold Senior in Lovely Jade Green celluloid. This is likely late 1920s vs early 1930s as this has the original Duofold finials (non-streamlined) but used the ladder/comb feed and parker split arrow nib.
Filling mechanism: Button filler with nicely polished brass button. The original compression bar is present – can note the imprint “for screw section” stamped at the base of the compression bar. The sac has been replaced and the pen fills easily and fully with a single press of the button. Indeed, the section is a screw-in section.
Barrel/Cap: There are no cracks, chips, or breaks in the barrel. The celluloid condition is overall excellent. The barrel and cap are slightly mismatched now in color – the barrel has darkened much more than the cap, though the swirling/marbling of the celluloid is very distinct in both part. The imprint is overall well preserved with very minor wear. The “Lucky Curve” banner under the “Duofold” is slightly worn and does not take the China Marker as well as the rest of the imprint. However, the entire imprint is easily visible on inspection (see photos). The blind cap has some slight oxidation and light scratches (see photo). The cap finial is nicely dark and has only slight wear to the vertical grip lines.
Trim: Gold filled trim – two slim cap bands with intact cold. The Parker clip is unbroken and overall intact with some slight brassing at the top.
Nib/writing: Nib is 14K. The nib is tuned and writes a smooth, EF/Fine line (see photo)
