Description

I am not a clarinet expert, so please see pictures for further details.  I do want to thank the knowledgable Ebayer who messaged me with additional information and is included in this listing.  Without mouthpieces one of the clarinets measures 19 1/2" and the other 23 1/4".  I do not know the key to either of them, possibly C & B flat.  Upper and lower joints and bells are all marked with the name in the oval.  Believe the clarinets are made of rosewood and date from 1855-1858.  I am sure both need restoration including pads, few metal rings are loose, etc.  I see no cracks in wood on both clarinets.  Few scuffs and scratches to the bells, but overall they look nice.  There are also 2 barrels marked Buffet (hard to see) that apparently someone was going to adapt the instruments to accept them, but never got around to it.  One of these barrels does have a crack.  Both mouthpieces are marked, but I cannot make out either one.  There are no metal clamps to hold the reeds. Someone wrapped something on one end to try and give it a tight fit, but it is still loose on the clarinet.  Guards for both mouthpieces have some damage.  Leather covered case shows some wear but overall is quite nice.  It does take a bit to close and latch.  Thank you for looking and please message me with any questions.
