This is a single-sided brass die cut sign, 10" x 7".
Condition: The sign has a great patina giving it a lot of character, rather than looking unused or as a reproduction. The sign shows medium wear from many years in service as can be seen in the numerous pictures included in this listing. Somewhere along the way it lost its chain used for hanging it in the bar. Another one could be fitted as the holes for are still intact in the sign.
Three Feathers, dating back to around 1812, was first advertised as a luxurious rye before becoming a bonded and then a blended whiskey. It has been recreated by Buffalo Trace Master Blender Drew Mayville as a 100-proof bottled-in-bond whiskey. Today’s recreation has a vanilla, charred oak nose, a stone and light tropical fruit taste, and smokey, caramel with a slight cocoa finish.
