Old 10/10 1933 Prohibition Prescription Whiskey Pharmacy Bar Doctor's Stub Chicago IL

A great original doctor's Prohibition Liquor Prescription stub for Spirits Frumenti, the US pharmaceutical term for Whiskey...Zxxxxxxii (lots of whiskey)...Zi q 4 hours (1 ounce every 4 hours)...(16 days)! Please see photos!

From the days of Al Capone, speakeasies and moonshine this was the only legal way to drink liquor in the US!

The whiskey was prescribed for Wm. Burns, by Dr. Thos. L. Dwyer, both of Chicago, IL, on  October 10, 1933. It was issued by the Treasury Department and when held to the light, PROHIBITION is partially watermarked.

The prescription stub measures 4 1/2" by 3" and is in excellent condition...a great ditty from Chicago's Prohibition days!

This is a FANTASTIC piece of history and would be great to display in a pharmacy, museum, bar or office! I am happy to answer any questions and thank you for your interest! :)

Pleased to combine shipping with other Prohibition Prescriptions, Liquor Licenses, Opium Forms & Pharmacy Labels. As always, many thanks to my regular customers for your continued patronage! :)

All items ship within 24 hours of payment!
