2.Temperature change- Cold weather increases oil viscosity making it hard to flow smoothly (or at all) and pump accurately. Warm weather decreases the viscosity. The pump cannot determine the viscosity of the oil, causing it to pump either too much or not enough. This creates a huge performance loss. Too much oil also causes exhaust ports & system to clog.
