NSWDG DeVGru Gold Squadron standard Garrison style emblem. These are tactical patches with the Crusader Lion image from post 9/11. Single line stitching with military gold thread. Early patches were stitched with metallic gold thread. This is early version since the thread attaching the hook to the back is gold thread. Later patches have black or color matched thread to material of the emblem.
Small size patch is standard size from approx. 1.5" x 2" .
This rated as "used" unissued condition, but never fielded. Stored long term in ragged plastic bulk bag. Metallic thread can lose its luster as it ages, so that's why they went to "military" gold color, which is a distinctive yellow color.
Very few were left over and found stuck to other styles of emblems. None are damaged, but may show dust or hook debris. Cool patch, especially if you collect or love something different. High degree of embroidery and stitching on image. Original Black cordura fabric.
