In high temperature environments, Cr20Ni80 has a small change in resistivity, which allows it to maintain precise control in applications with a wide range of temperatures.
Mechanical Properties: Cr20Ni80 has a high tensile strength, usually above 650 MPa, and an elongation between 15-25%, depending on the specific processing and heat treatment conditions. This alloy has good forming ability and fatigue resistance during processing.
Oxidation resistance: Cr20Ni80 has excellent oxidation resistance at high temperatures and is able to form a stable protective film of chromium oxide on the surface, effectively preventing further oxidation. This oxidation resistance makes Cr20Ni80 still maintain good performance after long time high temperature operation.
Corrosion resistance: Cr20Ni80 not only has good oxidation resistance under oxidising atmosphere, but also shows excellent corrosion resistance in some corrosive gases containing sulphur and chlorine.
Processing performance: Cr20Ni80 has good cold deformation plasticity and weldability, and will not produce brittle fracture in long-term use. This makes it suitable for use in the manufacture of electric heating elements of various shapes, such as wires, wires, strips and bars.
Magnetism: Cr20Ni80 is a non-magnetic material, which is an important property in some applications.
