Isle Royale is located in the NW segment of Lake Superior and comprises a unique island archipelago: one large island surrounded by over 450 smaller islands with a combined area of 850 square miles of federally protected wilderness. Within these isolated lands, only 19 mammal species have been identified, including a large population of moose, and the wolf population has been studied intensely for over 50 years.
Isle Royale is the least visited park in the National Park System, owing to both an off-the-beaten-path location and limited accommodations. If your token collection requires that you include one for each National Park, be sure to add this one to your collection today!
