Birko-Flor® is a skin-friendly, tear-resistant and easy-to-care-for synthetic material which is exclusively used by BIRKENSTOCK.
Natural leather can be identified by its untreated surface. BIRKENSTOCK deliberately does not apply any treatment to the surface texture and other features. BIRKENSTOCK uses solid leather with a thickness of 2.8 to 3.2 mm as the upper material.
Cork is a sustainable material extracted from the bark of the cork oak tree. This natural product has insulating properties and provides very good cushioning.
EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate) is a high-quality, very light, flexible material with excellent cushioning properties. As a result, it smoothes out minor unevenness in the floor and ensures soft cushioning with every step.
