Eliminate high levels of iron, sulfur, & manganese with our Air Injection System. Using the principle of oxidation, the system forces the contaminates into contact with oxygen. This causes them to oxidize into a larger form which is then trapped by the Filter media in the tank. The Air Injection systems come with a Fleck 2510SXT digital control head that automatically backwashes the system to clean the media and flush the trapped contaminates down the drain.
Standard Size System - Our most popular size, this system is suited for an average home of 1-2 bathrooms with 3-4 people and average water use.
Single Tank System - Most air injection systems oxidize contaminates either by using a separate air tank or by using a Venturi valve to inject air into the water. The problem with a 2-tank design (besides taking up space) is that the plumbing between the tanks and the control head on the second tank is subjected to the oxidized contaminates, causing them to wear more rapidly and resulting in higher maintenance costs. The problem with the Venturi valve setup is similar (the oxidized contaminates wearing down the plumbing and control head) with the additional problem of clogged valves that constantly have to be cleaned and/or replaced. By utilizing a patented piston, our Air Injection system is able to put the whole oxidation process inside one tank, keeping maintenance costs and down time to a minimum. This is done by creating a bubble of pressurized air at the top of the tank (done during the backwash cycle). The air in the tank then oxidized the contaminates, with the filter media trapping them. Then every few days the system automatically backwashes itself, rinsing the contaminates off the media and replenishing the air bubble.
Chemical Free - The Air Injection system uses no chemicals, backwashing itself with water to rinse the accumulated contaminates off the media and down the drain. No chemicals means less maintenance, less cost, and no worries about added chemicals in the water.
Complete System - Complete system includes tank, riser tube, deflector, control head, zeo prep (zeolite) media, and bypass valve. Filter Media - This system uses zeoprep (zeolite) media to trap the oxidized iron, sulfur, and manganese. Zeoprep alone is capable of removing moderate levels of these contaminates, when combined with the air injection, you get the highest removal capabilities available in a single tank system! A gravel bed underneath promotes good flow and improves filter efficiency.
Flow Rates - This system is capable of treating 12 gallons per minute and requires 4.3 gallons per minute for backwashing. More information on flow rates can be found on the right side of the page.
DIY Installation - We provide detailed installation instructions that allow most homeowners to install this system themselves. All it takes is some basic plumbing skills and some common knowledge! If you don't feel confident installing it yourself most plumbers can install it in about 1-2 hours.

Common symptoms of iron, sulfur, & manganese

Iron is a common problem in homes today. It causes red staining on fixtures, as well as turning clothes and sometimes even your hair a reddish orange color. Iron bacteria is sometimes present in water with iron, creating a slimy build up in standing water (such as your toilet tank) and can smell like rotting vegetation.

Sulfur (actually hydrogen sulfide or H2S) is easily detected by the presence of a "rotten egg" odor, and is sometimes associated with yellow staining.

Manganese is most often seen as a black slimy substance that builds in standing water, and may impart a metallic taste to the water.

Flow Rates
Backwash Flow Rate
The minimum rate (in gallons per minute) that needs to be available for proper backwashing of the system. This is not a constant rate, your water source just needs to be capable of supplying the shown rate for backwashing. NOTE: Using a system with less than the recommended backwash rate may be possible, however, doing so will decrease media life and will negate the 30-day satisfaction guarantee. (The warranties on the tank and control head will remain unaffected).

Service Flow Rate
The rate (in gallons per minute) at which the media can effectively treat your water. Please note that most systems will allow a higher flow rate through them than the media can treat, so should your water demands exceed the systems capabilities some of the water will pass through untreated. NOTE: Service flow rates are based on the manufacturers recommendation for maximum contaminate removal for the media alone, lower contaminate levels may be effectively treated at higher flow rates. The addition of air injection may also increase the effective service flow rate.
