This is a NCR branded 1639-K043-V001 cable to connect compatible NCR, Radiant Systems, or Aloha POS terminals or printers, to the 24 volt drawer kick port on the bottom or rear of a compatible cash drawer. Compatible drawers may have been manufactured by M-S Cash Drawer, so the drawer may include "M-S" or "MS" as part of the description on the drawer's label.
This is not a universal cable and it is not compatible with 12 volt (12V) solenoid drawers. Please check the label on the under-side of your drawer to confirm the drawer's voltage shows "24V" and the label will usually show CBL: 1639-K043.
The best way to confirm this is the correct cable for your application is to match the part number of the cable to these known part numbers:
- NCR 1639-K043 or 1639-K043-V001
- Radiant Systems / Aloha CB10318
- Radiant Systems / Aloha CB00318
This cable is 6 feet long / 72 inches with 6-pin RJ12 / RJ11 male connectors on both ends. The end labeled "To Cash Drawer" will connect to the 6-pin port on 24 volt models such as:
- 2164-3000-9090 / CD10135
- 2168-3000-9090 / CD10132
- 2176-3000-9090 / CD10046
- 2176-4000-9090 / CD10047
- 2177-3000-9090
- 2177-3500-9090
The other 6-pin male end, labeled "To Terminal / Printer", goes to the back of the point of sale (POS) terminal or to the "DK / CD / CKDO" port on the back of a compatible receipt printer, which includes most NCR or EPSON-compatible printers.
If your application isn't the exact POS brand and cash drawer brand listed above, then please assume this cable will not work because the wire configurations are different for other brands, even if the connector looks the same.
