QuietWalk is our premium underlayment choice allowing firm support for multiple types of flooring with great acoustic benefits. This product is built with sound reduction and moisture dissipation in mind. The unique DriWick technology relies on a blend of antimicrobial treated recycled fibers that will wick away subfloor moisture, while the attached 6-mil vapor barrier is specially designed to protect your flooring from water damage, and protect your subfloor from topical spills and accidents. Covers 100 Sq Ft - Roll Size: 33.33 ft. x 3 ft. x 1/8 in. : Package Size: 36 in. x 11 in. x 11 in.
- Use under laminate and floating wood flooring, not recommended for nail/staple or glue down applications, not recommended for luxury vinyl
- WATER PROTECTION: Exclusive DriWick technology allows concrete subfloors to breathe, preventing moisture vapor emissions from becoming trapped. The attached vapor barrier protects the overlying floors from damage. Also for use over wood subfloors.
- SOUND PROOFING: Recycled fibers absorb sound and keep it from traveling to other rooms. Makes click-together floating floors sound solid underfoot.
- IIC (IMPACT INSULATION CLASS) SOUND RATING OF 71: IIC is a measure of how much impact sound (walking, kids playing, etc.) is reduced after traveling through the floor covering, underlayment, and building structure and emerging in the room below. The higher the number generally indicates better sound absorption qualities.
- STC (SOUND TRANSMISSION CLASS) SOUND RATING OF 66: STC is a measure of how much airborne sound (speech, TV, stereo, etc.) is reduced after traveling through the floor covering, underlayment, and building structure and emerging in the room below. The higher the number generally indicates better sound absorption qualities.
- DELTA IIC SOUND RATING OF 22: Delta rating is the best rating to consider when comparing the performance of different types of underlayment.
