I ❤️ sock yarn! After more than 10 years of knitting, I managed to amass a stash many times beyond my life expectancy so I decided to break up my "collection" (from a smoke-free/pet-free home) into 10g center-pull "eggs." Now I love searching for beautiful colorways for you to enjoy. These eggs can be used for a variety of projects, such as "scrappy" socks, hats, gloves, blankets and sweaters - anything that needs a pop of color.
Who would like this: adventurous sorts who do not need to know the exact colors in each egg in advance - like eating a box of chocolates without the guide; and anyone who likes the look of "scrappy" projects - such as mitered square blankets and socks - but does not want to have a massive stash on hand
Who would not like this: planners who need to know the exact colors in each egg in advance (no disrespect, I completely understand this impulse, but it's best to know upfront that this may not be something you would enjoy!)
YMMV, but for context, I'm making a mitered square blanket on US size 4 needles, CO 60 stitches and I use approximately 6.5g per square. Since it's a mishmash of color, I have no trouble combining the leftover yarn to make additional squares.
